About

Hey ya, I am Heya! (he/him)

I'm a raccoon, a furry artist, a digital painter and story teller here at Raccoon Paw (dot) Net!
Here you can find news about my latest projects as well as blog posts about my experiences (positive and negative) as a creative that might help you or someone you know.

The ideas behind the blog:

This blog started shortly after Twitter was sold and people started fleeing the platform. Now, I'm not the kind of person who leaves a website and make people weep, I'm not famous by any stretch of the word, I made the choice of getting this blog simply to make sure I owned just a tiny little space on the great web to share my experiences in the hopes to help others.
I will mostly talk about creativity (or the lack of it), art tips, and other existential questions that rise when you are an artist, experiences that sometimes people overlook or romaticize for the sake of making suffering look beautiful.
It really isn't, and hopefully by putting some light on it maybe others will feel less lonely when their sadness isn't as marketable and inspiring as other artists'.

Why the name "RaccoonPaw"?

In all honesty? I simply like the sound of it. From the URL name to the "dot net", I chose all of it simply because it sounds good.
A parallel can be made with the famous tale of the Monkey Paw, like the sinister little raccoon hand floating in some places, but this parallel doesn't go beyond visuals. I do not grant any wishes, nor will I play tricks on you!

As an ending note, Raccoon Paw is just my personal website, so don't expect a very frequent schedule, ads or an elaborate business plan, the blog posts are to be read like a regular journal with the added bonus of all the links to the various places I am online glued on the side of the pages.

But anyway, that's about it, I wish you the best of luck out there. Hope to see ya in the near future!
